Product Review: Mukka Express (4*)

those of you who know me should know that i am a tea person, not so much a coffee drinker but my colleagues bought me the Mukka Express, a cappuccino maker so i tried it with a can of Illy expresso powder.

basically you measure and pour water into the black base, fill the coffee compartment with coffee powder then screw on the cow-patterned top and pour in milk (i like meiji milk) to the line then close the lid. for cappuccino, press down the cappuccino button if not u get latte. then pop it on a stove.

when done, you'll hear the coffee percolator at work pisssshhhhhh!!!!!! the coffee is pushed up into the milk then the button will "pop" and the milk gets warmed and "beaten" frothy.

however, each time you make, the amount is for TWO cups so can't quite have it alone (unless you intend to drink 2 cups) and it takes some practice. doesn't work all the time but when it does, you get a decent cup of cappuccino. with some raw sugar and an almond biscotti on the side, it's actually quite delightful. clean-up is like washing any stainless steel kitchenware.

$189.90 from takashimaya but during isetan sale, if you're an isetan card holder, you can get it at $100 with the coupon.
